Here are some tips to help navigate through the first year of school at TM Primary!
*Extra Clothes*
Our school nurse has over 1,000 students to take care of. Needless to say she is a super busy person! Please send an extra set of clothes to keep in your child's cubby at school. That way if your child has an accident or spills milk on themselves they can change their clothes in the restroom in the classroom. This saves you a trip to the school to bring new clothes and it saves the nurse precious time.
You may also want to send to school a light jacket or hoodie with your child to keep in their cubby. It can get pretty chilly in the classroom at times!
Please be sure to write your child's name on the clothing so there are no mix-ups.
*Illness*
If your child is running a fever, throwing up, or has had diarrhea in the last 24 hours; please do not send them to school! Germs spread fast in the Kindergarten classroom. Our custodians, myself and Mrs. Sanchez (classroom para) strive to keep Rm. 212 as clean and germ free as possible. We are constantly cleaning the tables, the children's hands, toys, and door handles.
Although we don't want our students to miss school, we would rather them stay home to rest and get healthy before returning to school!
